Another pony for a niece for Christmas. I chose the pink to go along with the variegated yarn. Reminds me of the colorful “My Little Pony”.
This is a pattern from Delicious Crochet. The yarn is Red Heart Supersaver, pink, cream, and variegated.
This pony is crocheted in parts and sewn together. It uses single crochet and slip stitches exclusively, in other words, an easy project! I used a size e hook.
Sitting, the pony is one foot tall.
A friend of mine adores llamas (don’t we all). For her second baby, soon to join the world, I decided to make her one. A nephew also asked for a llama, and I made him one too. I worked on them both at the same time, for some reason, and now I’m ready to work on something other than a llama!
I did a little research and found that llamas have two toes. I’m embarrassed to say that the previous llamas I made had three!
My nephew specifically requested a white llama with a blue hat. I may stitch his name on the hat.
I think the pink hat turned out especially cute. Hopefully the doctor is right that my friend is having a daughter!
The pattern for the llama comes from Paola Navarro of Delicious Crochet. I used Red Heart speckled yarn for the llama, Red Heart variegated yarn for the hats, and a sized E crochet hook for everything. The hat pattern turns out way too big, so I had to modify it to fit.
One of my nieces asked for a unicorn for Christmas. I originally did a white and pink unicorn, but when I put this pony together, it begged to be a unicorn as well! My mother was taken with the turquoise in the store. I was a little hesitant, but after consideration, I decided to give it a try. It became one of my favorite ponies so far.
This pony is from Paula Navarro at Delicious Crochet. Completed it sits about a foot high, not including the horn. The horn I added myself. The turquoise and variegated yarns are TLC Essentials and the cream and brown are Red Heart. I crocheted the pony with a size E hook. I differed from the pattern in the eyes. I made it two rows high instead of three.
Ten projects due for Christmas. One down, nine to go. This little pony was made for a niece that loves horses. It was tempting to keep for myself since I never got one as a child, but I think my niece will appreciate it more. Thanks to Paolo Navarro from Delicious Crochet for the pattern. The pattern was detailed and full of pictures. The only change I made was to add a star to the forehead of the pony.
I used Red Heart Super Saver yarn and a sized E crochet hook.
